Key Features
The AudioControl ACP-DANTE-E-POE is an ultra-compact, two-channel network audio encoder designed to convert stereo source audio into Dante or AES67 audio streams. It provides 100% lossless encoding in LPCM format, with selectable sample rates and bit depths for matching different network-audio requirements. Stereo RCA and Toslink inputs accommodate analog and optical sources, while an RJ-45 connection carries Dante network audio and supports Power over Ethernet. Stereo RCA and Toslink outputs provide corresponding local output connections.
This model is ideal for network-audio installations needing to integrate a two-channel stereo source into a Dante or AES67 system. Its unbalanced stereo RCA input accepts left and right analog audio, while the Toslink input accommodates an optical source. The compact enclosure and furniture-mount support make it suitable for installations where equipment space is limited. It’s perfect for systems requiring matching stereo RCA or Toslink output connections alongside the network-audio connection.
The ACP-DANTE-E-POE offers a versatile range of professional encoding options rather than a fixed configuration. Supported sample rates include 44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96 kHz, with selectable 16-, 24-, or 32-bit word lengths. Configurable latency settings of 1, 2, or 5 ms allow the encoder to be tailored to the network configuration. Its LPCM format, 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, and 100% lossless encoding promise seamless integration of stereo audio into a Dante or AES67 stream.
The encoder measures 110 x 96 x 25 mm, or 4.33 x 3.78 x 1 inch, and weighs 0.5 lb. Furniture-mount support provides an installation option for positioning the unit close to source equipment. Audio connections include one stereo RCA input, one Toslink input, one stereo RCA output, and one Toslink output. A single RJ-45 port provides the Dante network-audio connection and supports Power over Ethernet. Power can also be supplied through USB Type-C using a power adapter specified for 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz, 0.5A input and 5VDC, 1A output. The operating range is 23°F to 125°F, with 5% to 90% relative humidity and no condensation.
The ACP-DANTE-E-POE encodes two-channel audio at four supported sample rates from 44.1 to 96 kHz. Its three supported bit depths extend from 16 to 32 bits, while selectable 1, 2, and 5 ms latency settings provide configuration flexibility. Analog input voltage is specified as unbalanced 1VRMS, or 2.828VP-P. The loopback output carries the same unbalanced 1VRMS, or 2.828VP-P, specification. These parameters are paired with LPCM formatting and support for Dante or AES67 audio streams.
This encoder uniquely combines analog stereo, optical audio, network audio, and dual power methods in a compact one-inch-high enclosure. The connection set includes both stereo RCA and Toslink inputs and outputs, unlike models that limit source integration to a single audio interface. Its RJ-45 connection handles Dante network audio and PoE, reducing the number of separate connections needed at the installation site. USB Type-C power provides an additional power option. AudioControl’s five-year product warranty adds further value.
The AudioControl ACP-DANTE-E-POE is a focused solution for converting two-channel RCA or Toslink audio into a lossless Dante or AES67 network stream. Its selectable 44.1 to 96 kHz sample rates, 16- to 32-bit word lengths, and configurable latency provide useful control over the encoded signal. Compact dimensions, furniture-mount support, PoE, USB Type-C power, local audio outputs, and a five-year warranty complete a clearly specified package for stereo network-audio integration.
