Key Features
The RDL SF-NP35E is designed for systems that need to convert one Dante network audio signal into a mono constant-voltage output. It supplies 35 W RMS at either 70 V or 100 V, combining network audio reception and constant-voltage amplification in one module. Its UL 2043 plenum rating addresses installations governed by that standard. The specified ambient operating range is 0° C to 40° C maximum, with 20° C recommended. This makes the SF-NP35E a focused choice for Dante-based distributed audio paths requiring one amplified mono output.
The SF-NP35E brings its core signal and amplification functions together. It receives Dante digital audio through an RJ45 network connection, supports 24-bit audio, and provides a 35 W RMS constant-voltage output. Supported sample rates are 44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96 kHz, with 48 kHz identified as the default. A 0 dBFS input corresponds to the full 35 W output reference level. Special software is not required for module setup.
The amplifier can operate from 24 Vdc at 2000 mA or through its documented Class 4, IEEE 802.3at PoE++ implementation using four pairs. It automatically limits supply current to help protect against PoE++ port shutdown. The RJ45 network connector includes Link and Speed indicators, while the network transmission rate is 100 Mbps.
Level control is available through a detachable terminal block. The VCA accepts 0 to 10 Vdc control, and external control can also use a 10 kΩ potentiometer. Compatibility with RDL VCA wall controls and RDL remote level controls provides documented options for integrating remote adjustment. The module measures 1.7 inches high, 5.83 inches wide, and 6.45 inches deep, allowing its physical requirements to be included accurately in system planning.
The SF-NP35E uses high-efficiency Class D operation and delivers a frequency response of +0/-3 dB from 50 Hz to 20 kHz. Its specified THD+N is less than 1% at 1 kHz. Thermal and short-circuit protection are included, supporting the amplifier during abnormal temperature or output conditions.
Status information is available directly from the module. Front-panel indicators show network synchronization in green and an amplifier-muted condition in yellow. A rear-panel red Port Protect indicator reports the associated protection state, and the Ethernet connection provides separate Link and Speed indications. These indicators make key network and amplifier conditions visible without relying solely on an external interface.
This model is defined by the direct combination of Dante reception, mono constant-voltage amplification, external level control, and two documented powering approaches. It does not stop at network audio conversion: its output stage supplies 35 W RMS for a 70 V or 100 V system. At the same time, the detachable VCA connection supports either a control voltage or potentiometer-based adjustment.
The selectable sample-rate range accommodates 44.1 through 96 kHz operation, while 24-bit support establishes the documented digital audio depth. Automatic supply-current limiting specifically addresses PoE++ port protection, complementing the amplifier’s thermal and short-circuit safeguards. The UL 2043 plenum rating adds another clearly defined installation characteristic.
The RDL SF-NP35E is a purpose-built Dante endpoint and 35 W mono constant-voltage amplifier for 70 V or 100 V operation. Its combination of 24-bit network audio, selectable sample rates, PoE or 24 Vdc power, remote VCA control, Class D operation, visible status indicators, and protection features provides a documented set of capabilities for integrating one Dante signal into an amplified mono audio path.
